Zombie Mania is Here!
Vampires receive so much attention in the press that the danger posed by an equally insidious and terrifying monster is going unreported. Yes, we mean ZOMBIES!! As Seth Grahame-Smith proves in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, not even Jane Austen characters are safe.

This is a new chapter in the Decorative Things odyssey. While typically we travel the world to find unusual decorative home decor for you, in this case we had to go deep into the underworld to complete the mission. After many setbacks, close calls, near misses, last second escapes, and doubts that we would ever return, what we bring back is this Zombie warning. When you see a zombie, do not wait around to become effected by their deadly malaise. RUN!

Steer Clear of Zombies!!

You have heard musicians telling you to beware. You have seen movies showing what can happen when zombies overtake a town. H.P. Lovecraft knew more about horror writing than anyone and does his best to instill a proper fear of zombies in his readers. Artwork depicting zombies is properly frightening. It would be a relief if Halloween was the only time of year that we needed to worry about zombies, but sadly this is not the case. In fact, zombies can be most menacing during the rest of the year when they think it is easier for them to creep around without detection. Thankfully, you are aware of the danger that zombies pose but others are not so fortunate. If you are traveling to an area that you think may be infested with zombies, consider it your duty to wear this shirt and broadcast the message. If there is a barn or bedroom or workstation that you have heard rumors about or know for a fact is zombie territory, you should post this sign to alert the unalerted.

This is also a more friendly way to say Keep Out.

Zombie 202

If you are interested in more advanced zombie studies, you are in luck. This emerging field of paranormal scholarship spans media and time. Here are some of our Zombie favorites:

Books
  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith

The word zombie did not enter the English vocabulary until a few years after Jane Austen published this masterpiece, so Seth Grahame-Smith thought he would reimagine Pride and Prejudice with the added horror value of Zombies. One look at the cover will be enough to draw you in, and the quality of the writing, which contains the entirety of the original text along with the added zombie plot, will keep you turning the pages long past bedtime.

  • The Collected Stories of H.P. Lovecraft

Lovecraft was a pioneer of horror and science fiction writing back when it was known as "weird ficton." Take a look through his online collected writings, but beware that you may end up preferring an actual zombie encounter.

    Movies
  • Night of the Living Dead

This is the film that introduced Zombies to the American populace. Watch this masterpiece of Zombie Horror!

  • House of 1000 Corpses

Watch the trailer for Rob Zombie's directorial debut.

    Music
  • Sign in Stranger by Steely Dan

Hey Zombie! Be born again my friend! On this track from The Royal Scam Donald Fagan and Walter Becker sing about the Zombie-like people one encounters throughout the course of modern living and allow that even Zombies can return to the ranks of the living.

  • Night of the Living Dead by Tilly & the Wall

  • Zombie by The Cranberries

Zombie, zombie, zombie, hey, hey, hey. What's in your head?

  • The Zombies

Thankfully, zombies are slow moving and lackadasical, with spaghetti brains and no real passion, so you can run circles around zombies until their eyes start spinning and they pass out. This is the most effective treatment we have discovered for zomibes and we want to pass this knowledge and, all of the above, on to you.
