Metal Water Bottles
In the old days, my Mom always brought me a hot water bottle when I was sick in bed. It was red. I will always remember it. When she took it out of the closet, it meant Keep Calm and Carry On, Mom is here. That’s probably why I love our red Keep Calm and Carry On metal water bottle so much.(Though I do think the camo green metal water bottle is totally chic too!)
These days, you will see more metal water bottles than rubber hot water bottles. Even Wikipedia’s listing on water bottles talks about metal water bottles, with no mention of hot water bottles.
In case you are from a younger generation and have no idea what a hot water bottle is, you can read about in the Wikipedia hot water bottle listing. Wikipediapoints out that many people in the US have replaced hot water bottles with heating pads, or electric blankets but in many parts of the world hot water bottles are still used.
When I was a kid, there were no metal bottles to carry around for sports, etc. and there certainly was no WIKIPEDIA! Nowadays, I hardly go anywhere without a water bottle in my hands.
