Doris Duke and "Shangri La"
Our spring collection was inspired by Doris Duke's Hawaiian Home "Shangri La." Duke's passion for Islamic art led her to collect suzanis or "needlework" made in Central Asian towns and villages, typically by a mother for a daughter's dowry. Our trays are made with printed suzani inspired textiles decorated with multicolor floral forms typical of real suzanis.
