Decorative fabric in Trellis Pattern
Have you noticed how famous decorators often have a signature decorative fabric or pattern? Trellis or treillage fabric was a signature pattern of the great decorator, Elsie de Wolfe (1865-1950), who used it in her famous decoration for The Colony Club in Manhattan and in many private homes. In her book, A House in Good Taste, she has a whole chapter called "The Art of Treillage." She writes: "The trellis is most suitable for garden architecture, but it may be fitted to interior uses most skillfully." Using our trellis decorative fabric is a great way to emulate Elsie de Wolfe's great style.
